Ike Neal

     York Neal was born in 1839 and lived on the Jones plantation in Somerville Tennessee.  Today it is known as the Ames plantation (Caleb Jones sold the plantation to Hobert Ames in 1901).

Census records show York Neal died in 1911 and his mother was named Sally.  York's wife was named Isabella tanner (1837-1915) she was the daughter of Jake and Isabella Tanner.  York and Isabella had a total of 13 children their oldest son was named Richard (1861-1935) who everyone called Rich.  Rich Neal married Charity Anderson (1874-1962) whose mother was named Amanda Johnson, her son Henry was charity's half brother.  Rich and charity had eight children their fourth child was named Isaac Georgene Neal (1900-1986) who married Annie Mae Walton (1907-1943).  Ike and Annie Mae had six children, Eula Mae, John Riley, Vince, Susie Ophelia, Florence Jean and Luvato Lucille Virginia (Polly).  Ike also had two other children, a son and a daughter named Nora bell Harland (1925-1944).
