Barbara "Pepsi" Neal Manns is the daughter of William and Mary Neal and the niece of Lucy McCadney (William and Lucy were brothers and sisters). She grew up in the same household with her grandmother Charity Neal of whom she has many fond memories. Grandma Charity use to remark that she was a Blackfoot Indian with naturally straight "baby fine" hair and that she remembered the Memphis earthquake of 1895 and that Lincoln freed the slaves 12 years before she was born. Grandma Charity also had a brother that she loved to go visit named john Henry Johnson. Barbara remembers uncle Henry as being very light skin with one blue eye and one brown eye. Here's a picture of a young "Pepsi" with her grandmother's naturally straight "baby fine" hair
